We offer unique, independent audience measurement and analytics to build better marketing and programming initiatives within the media and entertainment industries.

The Project Manager will oversee multiple projects for the Data Science and Client Analytics teams. The successful candidate will work directly with internal and external clients to ensure deliverables are completed within the planned constraints of quality, time, scope, and budget. The Project Manager will have experience in serving the team, removing any blockers, and allowing the team to complete their work effectively. The position will require coordination with other departments. Additionally, the Project Manager will work with internal Product and the Data Science and Client Analytics Development teams to establish deadlines, delegate as needed, and monitor and report on the progress of projects. This dedicated and collaborative individual should be a well-rounded IT professional, who will fit with our collaborative culture.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Establish goals, tasks, dependencies, target dates & timelines, activities, owners of tasks/actions, and status for projects within the team
  • Collaborate within the Data Science, Client Analytics teams, Product, and other stakeholders to balance and prioritize multiple projects of different sizes and complexity, and communicate those priorities to the Data Science or Client Analytics development teams
  • Be the right hand for the Development team; anticipate their needs to further the project’s success
  • Facilitate meetings and communicate updates to project stakeholders as needed
  • Prepare and publish weekly project reports/status for the internal team and management to be informed of the project’s health (i.e., open/at risk/completed items)
  • Coach the team as needed in project management best practices
  • Delegate work to the Data Science team as needed in order to ensure the committed work is delivered to specification
  • Solicit requirements in order to write User Stories for the Data Science Development team
  • Ensure project requirements are communicated clearly to the Development teams
  • Work with the team to build and maintain a repository of technical documentation
  • Participate in requirements meetings. Capture the work that needs to be accomplished and ensure that work is transferred accurately in JIRA. Track the work’s progress in JIRA and aid the team in maintaining JIRA. Continue to track the work to ensure it is delivered to specification
  • Work with stakeholders to understand the scope of the project, which may involve a high degree of uncertainty at the outset. Flesh out initial business and technical requirements with Product and the Data Science Development teams
  • As part of SDLC, champion an iterative planning process; work with the team to define the work the team is committed to delivering in each release, which may evolve in subsequent releases

Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience using Agile (i.e., Kanban, Scrum) methodology with project teams
  • Experience in creating and managing technical plans, ascertained by working with project stakeholders to define the deliverables that will be developed in each release of the product
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills (& attention to detail)
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and client deliverables, identifying risks, issues, and dependencies among projects
  • Solid knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study


Preferred Skills

  • Experience in managing developing data products
  • Familiarity with Big Data, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Statistics, ETLs
  • Experience with Cloud (Amazon AWS)
  • CSM Certification
